Treasury Operations System (TROPS)

Pragati Software Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai (India) has developed a Treasury Operations System (TROPS) for use in banking organizations. The system currently has three modules: (a) Constituent SGL Accounting, (b) Money Market Services for Mutual Funds, (c) Loans to Brokers against Government Securities. More modules are under construction.

The following is the brief history of this software and its deployment for the HDFC Bank:

February 1998	:	Work started on the first module: Constituent SGL Accounting System.
October 1998	:	Constituent SGL Accounting System deployed for HDFC Bank.
January 2000	:	Subsequent to the merger of the Times Bank with the HDFC Bank, data from the Times Bank was processed and incorporated in the system.
July 2000	:	Second module deployed: Money Market Services for Mutual Funds.
July 2001	:	Third module deployed: Loans to Brokers against Government Securities
August 2001	:	Web-based reporting for all the above modules deployed.
January 2002	:	Many new reports incorporated in the various modules.

An organization can purchase any one or more of these modules.

Technical Details:

The system runs in the Microsoft Windows environment. The server can be with Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0. The workstations can use Microsoft Windows NT Workstation / Windows 98 / Windows 95. The system requires Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 or above.
